Welcome to Unshakeable with Human Design, the show dedicated to helping entrepreneurs use human design to shift from hustle to flow without sacrificing results. Come here to become an unshakable human and build an unshakable business according to your human design. I’m your host, Nicole Laino. Hello, and welcome to Unshakable with Human Design. I’m so happy to be here with you. I’m your host, Nicole Laino, and. And we are cruising along. We are at episode four of our type series. So we have been going through all of the types. We’ve done manifestors, manifesting generators, and now we are at Projectors. I am so happy to be doing this. I’ve really loved this. We’ve gotten some great feedback. And the reason we’re doing this is because type is where it all starts, right? 


It tells us what we’re here for and it tells us why we are the way we are. I think it’s a wonderful way to stop comparing ourselves to others, to think that their game should be like our game. I can think of, like, I have a friend of mine who I admire so much, and she’s amazing, and she just moves with such certainty and with such power, and she totally owns her worth. And she leans back hard, but she also leans in hard when she goes after something. Now I look at her and if I didn’t know about design and know what her design was, I’d be like, I should be like her. I used to get really caught up in that stuff. 


But I know that she’s a manifester and she completely embodies everything that I know to be a manifester, particularly one with a defined ego. She is just that person. So I can look at her and I say, that’s her way. That’s she’s being completely authentically herself. That wouldn’t be authentic. For me, my authentic is this. So it gets us, instead of focusing outside on the outside world and being like, I should be like them, it gets us saying, like, what’s my way? Paying attention to ourselves, recognizing what’s in alignment for us and what’s not. So that’s what we’re diving into. Each of the types we are at Projectors now. We have also, if you are into human design and business, we’ve got a cool thing out. I created a secret podcast, a private podcast that is called Aligned and Profitable. 


It is all about building an aligned and profitable business. Both of those things are necessary in order for you to feel good about a business that you Build. It has to feel fulfilling. It has to feel like yours. Because when you wake up and you’re responsible for everything that you create, every dollar that comes into the business, you gotta love it. And we wanna feel like it’s a reflection of ourselves. So we want that alignment, but we also want it to be profitable because just being aligned doesn’t pay the bills. And, and I’m sorry, anybody telling you that’s all it takes and that you don’t need to learn any of the other business building marketing strategies out there. I’m sorry, they’re lying to you. I’m going to say it. 


You know, maybe there’s some exceptions out there, but in general, people are being lied to with that type of messaging. So this podcast is designed to take you soup to nuts from start to finish. What does it take to grow a six figure business? And then what does it take to scale beyond six figures? We take you through all of that, the energetics and the strategy behind it, how we’ve done it and how we’ve helped our clients do that. The projectors. 20% of the population, 80% of my life, I’m surrounded by them.

My mom’s a projector, my sister in law’s a projector, my three nieces are projectors, my husband, my son, they are everywhere. I’m apparently meant to know a lot about these people and I tend to work really well with them. I do feel like I understand them maybe not as well as somebody who is a projector, but I think having an outside perspective can be valuable. And I really admire projectors. I think they’re amazing creatures and what they can do because a manifesting generator. I really appreciate the gifts that projectors have. So let’s cover the technicalities here of what makes a projector. I do tell you that at the beginning of all of these episodes. So you understand what makes a projector? A projector is someone who has no sacral defined. So there is no definition in the sacral center. 


It’s white and there is no motor to the throat. If they had a motor to the throat with an undefined sacral, they’d be a manifestor. But without that Motor to the throat. They are a projector. They can have a defined or an undefined throat, but it will have no motor connected to it. So you might see like spleen to throat or, you know, like a mental projector would have one of the head center or ajna center to throat. All of that connection can be there and they can have that definition in the throat center. But there’s no motor, there’s no energy being pumped to it all the time. Do you have some great stillness? Go sit next to a projector and you can feel the stillness. You can feel it in a manifesto too. 


You can certainly feel it in a reflector, but it’s different. I encourage everybody. If you’re into human design, if you know what people are, really pay attention physically when you’re in their presence to what you feel. Generators, you will feel buzzing. Manifesting generators, you might feel a little buzzing and a little bit of like that power pushing back from that aura. For me, as a manifesting generator who’s got a lot of energy moving all the time, I feel the hum in my body. I feel the difference. So sitting next to a projector, I feel the difference sitting next to a manifestor, and I felt feel the difference sitting next to reflectors as well. It’s a different quality. It’s very interesting. So 20% of the world, so they are not the majority, not by a long shot. 


What they’re really here for, though, is with that open sacral. Usually there’s such nuance beyond the type. So a projector with three motors defined is going to have very different energy than somebody like my husband, who only has two and has no motors defined, has only two centers defined and no motors, very different energy. So there’s so much nuance in this projector, just means one thing. They are here to guide life force, really here to focus their energy on generators in general, because that’s what they feel the most intensely. They’re kind of. They gravitate toward the energy of generators because it’s what they focus on. They’re designed to focus on people, on others. They’re not here for themselves. They’re here for the other. It’s what their purpose is. And their aura is a very directional aura. It is penetrating. 


It can see deeply into people. And I say see, but it’s like it’s penetrating deeply into someone else’s energetic field that can feel, especially if it’s uninvited, not good. Or it can feel like you’re deeply seen when it is invited. So I think that There is a balance that has to come with projectors. Projectors, they have to learn to value different things about themselves. Let’s cover a little bit about just what makes them. What are their gifts? Right. So, you know, when we have a world that is built on generator power and built around how quickly people move and how much they get done and how often they work and how many hours they put in when that’s the measure, projectors can really feel unseen and not valued. This is the shift that’s so important for them. They have to learn to shift this. 


So let’s talk about their gifts, because you’ll start to see that somebody like me, there’s a reason I don’t have these gifts being a manifesting generator. So projectors are great with systems. They can see how things work. They understand how to implement something better. They’re great at improving things. They’re very efficient. They tend to be very elegant. They usually explain things in a very succinct way. If they were, you know, I feel like funnel builders and people like that can be very projectory, love to work behind the scenes. Doesn’t mean that they don’t like to be out front. I don’t mean it to be like that. Doesn’t mean that. That’s not what I’m saying. Don’t come at me. But they can tend to feel very valued. 


Because if you are an OBM or you’re funnel builder or you’re doing something behind the scenes, this is why projectors can do really well in corporate project management or product management, where they’re kind of looking at things and they’re saying, here’s the direction we should go in and here’s this team that should do this. And, you know, it’d be great if we built it like this. No, it would be more efficient if it were like this. That’s what projectors do. There’s a reason generators don’t do that as well as consistently, or it’s not our talent necessarily, unless it’s one that we learn to hone, is because we’re usually a little bit more restless than that. We want to get in and start building. Okay, I’m going to go build it. The projector doesn’t really have that need. 


They’re quite happy sitting back there and they can put something together. But then they’re like, okay, you know, you can do the rest. Thanks. I don’t need to get sweat equity. I’m just here for the wisdom. Right. So projectors tend to know that they are brilliant and they really want to be recognized for that. And they can get bitter when they’re not. So their strategy is to wait for the invitation. I personally like saying wait for recognition. And it isn’t really waiting necessarily, but it is noticing. And a lot of projectors are really caught up with keeping up or doing it the way everybody else has done it or just being seen. And they’re caught up in annoying feeling of being invisible. Like people aren’t seeing them for their brilliance. I’m better than this person. I know more. I should be up there. 


I should be recognized. And they’re so caught up in that they’re missing the boat. And when they’re in the energy of kind of being pissy about the fact that they’re not being seen, the people don’t really want to be around them. Your energy as a projector enters the room before you do. Your energy as a projector does so much work for you. It’s why you can be so successful without having to do as much as the rest of us. But here’s the thing. A lot of projectors don’t value their gifts. They’re trying to fit in. They’re trying to do it like everybody else. But here’s the problem with that. You’re never going to fit in when 70% of the population is fundamentally different than you and they’ve sort of set the tone for how things work. You can’t play their game. 


You cannot play the generator game. And if that makes you feel sad in your projector and makes you feel defeated, then you aren’t really hearing what I’m saying. I’m not saying that you can’t win. I’m saying you only lose if you play the generator game. You win if you play your game. If you play the value game. If you play a game of perception and guidance versus output, you have to value something more and something else other than your output. How much you did doesn’t matter. The quality of what you did and what you provide does. So the whole value model that entrepreneurs work off of, which is you don’t charge based on how many hours it will take you. You charge based on the value that you’ve provided. That is a projector strategy all the way. And what are we doing now? 


We’re saying that you don’t pay me for how much time it takes. You’re paying me for the value that I provided, which can be exponentially more. So now I’m working less and making more. That is the projector model. Projectors are capable of creating a lot and moving faster than a generator. They just can’t do it for long, but they can think it through and they have ideas and they have something that they want to get out there. If they take the time to create it, they can make it work. Projectors can create so much. Projectors are very creative, and the shift has to be that you’re creating based on what you perceive is the need, and you have to value that perception that you have. That’s where projectors get pulled off the mark. 


They’re focusing too much on the way that other people are doing it versus focusing on what they’re feeling from that, from the people that they work with, from the people that they want to help. What are you perceiving? You have to put that higher up on the value ladder. And so many of them are. So I hope that you found this one helpful. I hope if you’re a projector, you’re shifting. This at least opened you up to the idea of valuing yourself and valuing what you see and asking yourself, where can I make things more efficient for people? Where have I noticed that they’re being inefficient? Where have I noticed they’re missing something fundamental because they’re moving too fast or they’re following an outdated guidance or whatever it is you are here to guide. You’re not here to fall in line. So go guide.
