Hello and welcome to Unshakable with Human Design. I’m your host, Nicole Laino and it’s just you and me today. And I want to talk about your human design process. So we can very easily get caught up in the minutia human design, the nitty gritty. And we I’ve talked about this at length on this show, about how we can so easily get caught in our heads studying all the pieces of our design.

And I get it. It’s so easy to fall into this that it’s not your fault. There’s so much to study, and you almost have to go through it where you have to learn everything. and I’m gonna take my own responsibility here and share with you that I did this. When I first found human design, I studied everything.

And it’s very much a head game in the beginning because you’re trying to understand all of the information, you’re trying to take it all in. It’s very hard to get a big picture of something when you don’t understand the details. So we have to get through all of that minutiae and all of all of that detail. We have to understand what gate 13 means in order to understand the greater.

So we kind of have to go through that process. It’s a normal thing. But the problem is sometimes we can get stuck there. We can get stuck in all of those details. And we think we have to figure out the formula. If I understand this piece, then I’ll understand me. And there’s all of the Instagram astrologers and human design people that are talking about individual placements, all as being this, you know, secret.

Fast track to success and money and all of that. And while all of these placements play a role, first of all, your individual chart is really gonna determine what the most important placements are for you. My most important placements are different than your most important placements because your chart is different than mine. This is all really fascinating.

And I love this crap. I really do. I eat it up. But when we get caught in it, we can think that this is the stuff, the fascinating stuff is the thing that’s gonna change us. And yes, it can add to our understanding, and it is great information, but it’s nothing compared to your process. And really, at its core, what human design is doing for us is.

It’s showing us how we’re making life and what we talk about on this show is our business harder for us. Human design can show you your path through hard times. Human design can help you understand what is correct for you to move forward on. And not just that, how to move forward on that. It can show you what your particular work is to do.

In order to overcome a limitation. And that’s what I try to do in my readings with people is explain to them this is what your process, this is how this is all working together. So it isn’t just your type, it isn’t just your authority, it isn’t just your open centers, it isn’t just anything. It’s all of it. Which is hard on a show like this to give you all of it, especially because I don’t have your chart in front of me.

But I want to, in today’s episode, what I want to break down for you. I’m gonna break down my process that I just witnessed for myself in something that I’m doing in my business. And if I didn’t know human design, I probably would have stopped. I would have done it differently. I might have quit. I might have panicked. There are a lot of things that I probably wouldn’t have allowed.

for myself or resisted if I didn’t understand my own personal design. And that’s what I want to walk you through here. And I will I will sh also share with you how you can apply it to your own design, the thought process and the way that we go through this, so that you can understand how your design works. Because maybe you’re a manifesting generator like me, but

Maybe you’re sacral and I’m emotional. there’s there’s all of these nuances to it. So I’m gonna talk you through how we start to break this down. And hopefully the example of me showing you or explaining to you what I was doing, how it was playing in my business, the questions I asked myself, how I related to myself through my design and helped me make.

Good decisions and get to where I am with this now. Hopefully, this sheds some light on the process that you could have for yourself, okay? So let’s dive into this. So most people are, at least in my experience, they’re afraid of making a mistake with their design. But one of the things that I have learned.

And this is not in my nature. This is something I had to learn and become comfortable with. Is I I’ve learned that the fastest way to learn about your design, to understand it, and to start to really become the next level of you that human design has to offer you is to actually be misaligned. It is actually to get it wrong so you can understand what right even feels like.

And then you get really good at spotting the signposts. If you’re worried about getting it wrong, then you’re probably gonna stand still. And that that’s definitely my mo. I’m a one-line. I really don’t like to move until I’m sure. But this is where human design changed my life completely. Is because yeah, I’m a one-line, and that is very natural for me to feel like I want to be sure.

That I don’t have security until I know enough information. That’s what the one really needs to feel safe: information. It needs all the details, it needs all the stuff. But I’m a manifesting generator. And that’s not how we operate, not in alignment. So I I had to get stuck there many times in order to understand this. I could hear it, I could listen to podcasts like this,

I could read books, I could take in information, which again my one-line loves, but I really didn’t get it until I got frustrated and I got angry and I wasn’t moving and things weren’t working and I was never getting sure. No matter how much information I took in, I couldn’t get clear. Didn’t there was never enough information to get me to a point where it really felt like I could go.

And as a manifesting generator, I’m gonna use this example because it has to do with the challenge. So part of the reason we did a challenge is because the challenge we wanted you to be in action. I didn’t want to just be talking at you. And I really wanted to do something that felt more interactive and like you were road testing all of this stuff so you can really see what it feels like to start to work with this in a way that’s guided, where I’m kind of there in this little container with you for 10 days where

You know, you can put a question in the telegram, you can be in interaction with me and the rest of the people that are in this this challenge, and you can be learning from each other and we can help guide you. So when I got the idea for this challenge, it came through someone talked to me about a challenge. They asked me if I had something lower ticket to offer after we did our last launch for the the New Era Expert Masterclass that we did in September.

Somebody asked me something and then I got pitched a challenge. There were all of these things. Basically, what I’m telling you is I got responses. There were things for me to respond to. This idea of a challenge and all of this stuff was coming to me. So I responded and it was like, it’s a yes. Like I got really excited about it. I told Megan on my team right away. I said, I was like, this is what I’m gonna do. I think I’m gonna do it in November. I don’t have all the details yet. I’ll have to see.

I’m an emotional authority, so I had to wait a little bit. Now, in the past, I would have needed all of the details in order to start moving, in order to really start creating anything around this, and certainly around starting to market it. And that’s a big limitation for a manifesting generator. My one line is a detriment to the many-gen process in a lot of ways. So

what I did was I started to move as soon as I felt clear. So got through my emotional wave and took some time and then it got to a point where it was like, okay, if I’m gonna do this, I really have to start moving on it. And nothing was coming. So in the past I probably been like, Well, is this right? Do I keep doing it? Do I scrap it? Do I just do the new era expert masterclass again?

And instead of doing that, I just I was like, no, this was a yes and this was clear. I waited for my clarity. Cause again, I don’t trust the outcome. It’s not about the outcome, it’s about my process. I trust that when I follow my strategy and authority, I’ll either get the result that I want or the lesson that I need. I don’t lose when I follow my process. So I checked myself and I followed my process. I said, I feel good about this. Okay. So what’s important for me to know about being a manifesting generator?

manifesting generators have to get comfortable with things being messy. With the idea that, like, you know, as a kid, when I wrote, even when I wrote in pencil, I never wanted to erase because it was so messy. It’s like I want to get it right on the first try. That’s my one line. The Mani Gen in me needs an eraser and it needs permission to use it.

As much as she needs to. And to trust that part of that process of erasing and rewriting and going back to something is part of the process. And when I need to drop something and actually let it go, I will know the difference between those two things. That there is something in the messiness. So there was something in when I started it, I didn’t have all the details I needed in order to move forward.

So that was making it harder for me. I didn’t have all the marketing laid out. I didn’t have all the messaging laid out. I was working on it and it just wasn’t coming. But pieces were coming. It just wasn’t coming the way I needed it to. It wasn’t coming fast enough. It wasn’t coming cleanly enough. And I’m like, I just need to I I just need to let it flow through and be in response to these different things. Now my team is waiting for me to write the emails and

I’m on a retreat with a bunch of women in my mastermind, and I I’m trying to be present there, but I know I have this thing coming up. But I trust that being there is going to add something to it too. So I write a sales page. I work with what I’ve got, right? I’ve got enough. I know it’s right. I know that this thing that I’m moving on is correct, but it’s messy.

So I know that messy is my way. So I’m like, let it be messy, Nicole. Just let it be what it needs to be. I need a sales page. Okay, I gotta get something up so people can sign up. So I set up a sales page and I do it messy. Get it up there, give it to my team because they have to create the actual page. So I have to do some things and just get them out there. But I also have to let myself pull out the eraser if I need to.

So this last weekend I rewrote the whole sales page. It started to come through. And so what is the process in here that I’m that I’m talking about? Manifesting generators are going to be messy. Manifesting generators are going to get clarity through doing. It is not through my mind that clarity comes. Now I know a few other things about my design. I know that I’m a s my my

connection to my throat is spleenic. So whenever I get stuck on what am I gonna say, it’s because I’m stuck in my head. My head and my ajna are open. So I understand and I can kind of be coaching myself. That’s really what human design allows you to do. You can coach yourself through this stuff. I’m trying to get the answers right. I’m not letting it flow. I have to do a little bit of automatic writing. I have to get a little bit of it out. That’s how I start

To when I don’t have the answers and I don’t have all the details, I just kind of I have to play. I have to, I have to allow things to unfold and I have to stay with the process. I have to stay engaged with the thing. So I’m in response to the problem. I’m in response to the topic. I’m talking to people.

I’m talking to my clients and I’m thinking about this the whole time, or I have it in the back of my mind of what I’m trying to build. We think that many gens, it’s all about the doing all the time. And generators, this is the same thing. It’s just going to be less messy for you, most likely. But we always think that it’s going to be like the active doing. No, you’re in response to the project. You’re in response to the thing that you are creating.

So I have to just allow myself to do that. And I come up with creative ways to do that so that I can work with my own design as a, spleen connection to my throat. I can’t think it through the whole time. Sometimes I just need to see what comes out of my mouth or out of the pen when I write.

So I rewrote the sales page, it all started to become clear, and now I’m like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. I know exactly what I’m doing. I had to redo a lot of work. And don’t worry, if you signed up for the challenge already, we didn’t change anything material about it. I just changed the messaging on it. My clarity about how to speak about it came through. And it wasn’t coming through before. But the problem is the trap is that a lot of generators and manifesting generators will wait. They’ll wait until they have ultimate clarity.

They’ll wait until they have all the information. They won’t engage with the thing and they’ll question whether the thing is right. And now they’re in their head and they’re not moving and they’re not being who they’re meant to be in the world. My one line would love to be neat and tidy. My Mani Gen will not allow it. And my spleen connection to my throat is not going to perform.

If I’m waiting for the perfect words, or if I want it tied up in a little bow, I have to allow it to be spontaneous. So my questions become how do I make it spontaneous without being necessarily completely unplanned? It’s like how I do these podcast episodes. I do have notes, so I make sure that I don’t take you on a wild goose chase and an episode that goes nowhere.

I think it through in that regard, but I very much automatically write all of my notes. It pours out of me when I make the notes for this, these episodes. And I might have to move something around and I make sure that the flow is right. But in general, that kind of comes out on its own. This is me honoring who I am. It’s honoring my process and it’s honoring my gifts and allowing my openness to be the openness.

I allow that spleen to kind of do the talking, but that open head and open ajna that I have, the creative ways that I can put things together, that’s coming from my openness. That is coming from the work I’ve done to clear those out so that I can actually feel comfortable saying something that I haven’t scripted and that I haven’t perfectly crafted so that I’m so certain you’ll receive it the right way.

This is what design is like, and this is why I can do so much. People a lot of times will say to me, my God, you’re you’re always doing something. You’ve always got so much going on. There are always so many things that you manage to create. I’ve only been able to do that because of understanding my design and honoring my design, deconditioning the parts of me that weren’t allowing me to do that before. And honoring the gifts I have.

A lot of people will tell you to script things or be totally fly by the seat of your pants. Well, me knowing that I’m a spontaneous speaker, that even when I write, I really do have to let go of the thought. The thing that will keep me stuck is needing the first draft to be the last draft. And also recognizing that a lot of times it is. A lot of times my stuff comes out not

Perfectly, but so close to what I want it to be if I just start and open the channel. The spleen is a channel. It is intuitive. It’s spontaneous. It’s not scripted, planned, or overworked.

So for you, looking at your chart, what do you have to honor? If you’re a projector, where are you putting your output and how much you do and waking up every day thinking, what am I gonna do today? I’ve got to get something done. Where are you maybe putting that on a pedestal and letting it get in the way of what your real genius is? You have specific talents.

But it’s your perception. So if you’re sitting home alone, not talking to anyone, not observing anything, not seeing into anything, then no wonder you’re stuck. You’re looking in all the wrong places. We can structure our lives so that it is more hospitable to our design.

That’s what we have to start giving ourselves permission to do. And that’s how you can start to find flow in your life. If you’re a splenic authority, you’re really going to have to pay attention to what spontaneously comes up. It moves real fast. So if you’re splenic, no matter what your spleen is connected to, if you have splenic authority,

Insights and intuition is gonna move quickly. You’re going to have to learn to move that fast. And if you’re not, then you’re going to have to look at what is causing me to feel like that’s not safe. Because that’s my way. What am I not allowing to come through? Because I am sitting on my impulses.

Reflectors that are not honoring their timing, that are not honoring the wisdom that they have and giving themselves permission to really wait. That they’re that the longer they wait, that that these cycles, when they go through every month, a reflector is probably gonna have major revelations about something. There’s some deep wisdom or knowledge that will come out. Every decision you make is so you have to be so patient with it.

So when you’re working on something, allowing it to have this like evolution over a month, over that lunar cycle, because you’re going to have all of these amazing little breakthroughs and shifts that will come throughout that time. But if you’re focusing on how you can get this done in two days and it’s a big thing, yeah, of course. Sometimes we’re we’re on in a time crunch and we don’t have space for that.

But that’s not all the time. And you can, again, arrange your life in a way where you allow for that. And that’s what this is about. Being able to tap into your magic and your process and honor it. And look at the parts of you that are saying, I can’t do it that way. It can’t be like that. I’ll never be successful if it’s like that. I guarantee you you’re all saying it in some way. And maybe it’s your type or maybe it’s your authority. I felt that way about my

emotional authority, I was like, my God, I’ll never be successful because I’ll never be able to make a decision quickly. No, actually the more I deconditioned that part of me that believed that, my frequency leveled out. I wasn’t so anxious about when am I going to be able to make this decision. my God, is it a yes? my God, is it a no? How do I tell people? I gotta let them know they’re gonna be waiting for me. When I saw how I gave my power away to so many people, wow, did that bring the power back into me?

So I hope you’re seeing how your process, honoring your design, brings the power back into you. So, whatever stories you’re telling yourself about, why it cannot be successful, the path that you have to take, I want you to recognize that that’s where you’re giving your power away. You’re making it harder because you’ve convinced yourself it has to be some other way. And I’d

Ask you to examine that and ask yourself and be open to what if it’s not? What if it doesn’t have to be that way? What if it could be this other way? If I just allowed it to be? This is what we’re going to be exploring in the challenge. We’re going to be taking you through this kind of level of thinking about your own design.

And getting you into action behind it. And we’re going to do that clearing work, the deconditioning work. We’re going to do that first. We’re actually using when we start the challenge. It starts on November 9th. When we start the challenge, it’ll be at the tail end of the Venus and the Mercury retrograde. We’re actually gonna use that retrograde energy that’s turning us inward and asking us to kind of release some things. We’re gonna use that energy during those first few days to to help us.

release because that’s what the energy is asking us to do. And then when those two planets go direct on the same day, we’re going to shift into kind of that second phase of aligning and taking action. I hope you choose to join us for it.
