When a client recently asked me how I created $30,000 months in my business, I realized something important: the answer isn’t just about funnels or strategy, and it’s not purely energetic either. The truth is, sustainable business growth requires both energy and strategy working together.
After years of entrepreneurship, through feast-or-famine cycles and back again, I’ve identified four fundamental shifts that transformed everything. These shifts changed how I operate, how I feel about money, and how I approach every level of growth in my business. Whether you’re earning your first $5k month or scaling to six figures, these principles apply.
The Reality Behind Consistent High-Income Months
Most people assume that reaching $30k months requires some secret funnel formula or pure manifestation work. But here’s what actually happens: you need both the invisible energetic work underneath the surface and the strategic decisions on top.
This matters especially if you’ve tried following the Russell Brunsons of the world and found that their methods don’t work for you. When traditional business strategies fail us, many entrepreneurs turn to energetic tools like Human Design, but then make a critical mistake. We try to get rigid with these tools, constantly asking, “Okay, so this happened. What do I do now?”
The real skill isn’t following a rigid framework. The real skill is training yourself to ask better questions. If you can do that, you can change anything in your life.
Shift #1: Recognize and Change Your Money Paradigm
Your money paradigm is the structure that money has followed in your life. This goes deeper than your money beliefs—it’s about examining the actual patterns of how money has come to you.
Consider these questions:
- Were you a stay-at-home parent whose spouse provided income?
- Did you work a corporate job with steady paychecks?
- Have you experienced feast-or-famine cycles as an entrepreneur?
For me, the pattern was clear. As an entrepreneur throughout most of my life—from commercial real estate broker to actor to CRM business owner—money came and went. Great months followed by complete survival mode. The only time money felt stable was during my seven-year corporate job, where “big daddy corporate” paid me on schedule.
That was my truth, and it became my paradigm: entrepreneurial money is inconsistent.
When you start creating money in business, you have to understand that money doesn’t just come from time or effort. This is critically important for non-sacral types in Human Design. The minute you make money about time, you create an internal narrative: “I can’t keep up, I can’t work all the time.”
If you’re a Projector and you’ve internalized “I can’t work,” you might think, “How am I ever going to make this work?” The answer is that you must shift the paradigm. You need to question how money works for you and start creating a new structure where money can come from sources beyond direct time exchange.
Shift #2: Get Aligned With Your Work and Create Real Value
Alignment is about the work you’re doing and whether it resonates with who you are. Specifically, it’s about understanding what you’re truly good at and what people value.
Here’s a hard truth: if you’re constantly explaining what you do and people still don’t understand the value, you haven’t found your alignment yet. When you’re aligned, people understand immediately. Your Human Design chart can provide the foundational self-knowledge you need, but you must apply it to create tangible value.
I’ve experienced both sides of this. There was a time when I’d explain my work and see blank stares. Now, when I tell people what I do, they either say “that’s exactly what I need” or they know someone who needs it.
The shift happens when you get clear on:
- What you’re actually good at (not what you think you should be good at)
- What people are willing to pay for
- How to articulate the value in a way that resonates immediately
This clarity comes from doing the work, getting feedback, and being willing to adjust. It’s not about finding the perfect niche on day one. It’s about moving through the process and paying attention to what lands.
Shift #3: Build Structure That Supports Your Vision
This shift is where energy meets strategy in the most practical way. You cannot lean back confidently if you’re afraid you’ll fall. The structure: the systems, the strategy, the masculine container, needs to be solid enough to support you.
Think about what you want. Do you want passive income but currently every dollar comes from direct client time? Are you burned out because you’re already tapped out? Then you need to structurally change things to support your vision of more time, more freedom, and more money.
This doesn’t mean you need to build everything right away. But you do need to start looking at your business and asking: “What needs to change structurally to support where I’m going?”
For me, this looked like:
- Creating systems that work without me being present
- Building a podcast that attracts clients consistently
- Developing clear messaging that converts
- Setting up offers at different price points
I didn’t build all of this overnight. I started years ago, working through different levels. But at every stage, I focused on building the next piece of structure that would support the next level of growth.
The vision tells you what to change. What do you want? Okay, what do we need to build to support that? Then you do the energetic work while building the strategic systems, because energy alone isn’t enough and strategy alone isn’t enough.
Many entrepreneurs seeking this kind of strategic and energetic alignment benefit from personalized Human Design readings that show them exactly how to structure their business according to their unique design.
Shift #4: Understand and Manage Your Money State Moment to Moment
This shift is ongoing work that I’m always conscious of, but not in a worried or anxious way. I’m simply aware: am I in the energy of what I want, or am I in the energy of what I don’t want when it comes to money?
Most people, when they get worried about money—bills coming in, unexpected expenses, or clients canceling—they go into action around that worry. “Oh my God, what am I going to do? What can I sell? What can I do?”
You’re still in the energy of worry. You’re in lack. You’re acting on lack. And usually, you don’t get the results you want.
Here’s what I do instead: I recognize when I’m in the opposite energy of what I want. I don’t want to be in fear about money. I don’t want to be in worry. So it becomes my job in that moment to shift into gratitude and abundance around money.
Try this exercise right now. Say out loud: “Money is going out. I’m so scared about money. Money is hard. What if it doesn’t come back?” Feel how that feels in your body.
Now say: “That money is going to help somebody’s kids buy books for school. That money is paying somebody’s salary who desperately needs it. That money is coming back to me in some way.” See it coming back to you. Feel how that feels in your body.
There’s a difference. You feel it.
Real-Life Application: When Clients Leave
Let me give you a concrete example. Recently, a client who had been in one of my programs didn’t renew when her year was up. I was sad because I genuinely loved working with her. But I didn’t shift into worry about where the next client would come from.
I don’t give space to those feelings unless I need to process them because they’re overwhelming. Instead, I said: “We’ve had a beautiful relationship. I’m so grateful. I’m so excited for her. I hope we do something together again.”
That energy of abundance shifted everything. I thought, “Someone else is going to come and fill that spot. Maybe two people will.” A few months later, that same client came back to work with me in a private container. We now have a different relationship that’s even more rewarding.
I attribute that outcome to the fact that I don’t get caught up in scarcity. Can I say I never do? No, I do sometimes and I have to do the work. But I recognize it and I prioritize it because I know how important this work is.
The Balance of Energy and Strategy
Even the investments I’m making now in my business—the rebrand, the vacations I’m paying for, the new car—require me to energetically connect with those decisions. I have to say, “Making decisions as the person I’m becoming is good. This is what I need to be doing to get to the next level.”
Has spending more money than usual been stretchy for me? Absolutely. There have been moments where I had to work through feeling irresponsible or worried it wouldn’t come back. That’s normal. The difference is that I don’t let those moments dictate my actions or my energy for long.
But here’s the critical point: this energetic flow can only come when I’m not afraid I’ll fall. I’m so confident in my message, my content, and the systems I’ve built that I can lean back hard and know those systems will catch me.
The structure—the masculine strategy—is what allows the feminine energy flow to work. They’re not separate. They work together.
Taking This Further
If you’re ready to apply these money shifts in your own business, start by examining your current money paradigm. What patterns have you lived? What beliefs are running underneath your actions?
Then look at your alignment. Are you creating real value that people immediately understand and want to pay for? If not, what needs to shift? Run your Human Design chart to start to get clarity on your natural strengths and energy patterns.
Next, assess your structure. What systems need to be in place to support your vision? You don’t need to build everything today, but you do need to start.
Finally, practice managing your money state. Notice when you’re in lack or fear, and consciously shift to abundance and gratitude. This is daily work, moment-to-moment work, but it makes all the difference.

The Path Forward
These four money shifts aren’t one-time realizations. They’re ongoing practices that you’ll revisit at every level of growth. At $5k months, you’ll work through them. At $30k months, you’ll deepen them. At $50k months and beyond, you’ll refine them further.
The key is understanding that you need both sides: the energy and the strategy. You can’t lean back into energetic flow without the structural support. And you can’t build sustainable structure without the energetic alignment.
When you bring them together, you create something powerful: a business that feels good, works consistently, and grows in alignment with who you are.
That’s when everything changes.
