Unleashing Her Authority: How Clea Hernandez Transformed from Debt to Fully Booked in Just 4 Weeks
Clea Hernandez, a brand and messaging strategist building her own agency, was struggling to make her business work despite her expertise. Despite investing heavily in coaching programs, she found herself with no clients, mounting debt, and a pattern of people-pleasing that had followed her from corporate life into entrepreneurship.
Key Results:
- $0 to FULLY BOOKED in just 4 weeks after embracing her Manifestor design
- Doubled her rates and clients happily paid without negotiation
- Eliminated desperation energy that was sabotaging her sales calls
- Confidently turned down misaligned $10K+ projects to create space for ideal clients
- Transformed from debt-accumulating to debt-clearing within her first month
- Stopped “hustling” for clients as they now consistently come to her through referrals
- Reclaimed her authentic voice after years of corporate people-pleasing conditioning

“It’s the best money I’ve ever spent on myself, hands down,” Clea declares about her investment in the Business By Design program.
Conditioned to People-Please
As a Manifestor with a 4/6 profile, Clea had a lifelong pattern of repressing her natural energy to please others. This manifested dramatically in her career: “I have left every corporate job I’ve ever been in within two to three years in sort of a dumpster fire blaze, angry at everyone,” she shares. “I always wondered why that was because I’m actually a very nice person.”
The pattern continued as she built her agency. Despite having a strong network that generated leads, she couldn’t convert those opportunities into paying clients. Each sales conversation felt off, creating a cycle of financial struggle and deepening debt.
“I kept getting these referrals and these leads because I’m a 4/6 profile, so I had a big network of people who were always referring me, and I just kept bombing these sales conversations,” Clea explains.
Her approach to finding help followed her conditioning as well—seeking strong authority figures who would simply tell her what to do rather than helping her discover her own path.

Permission to Lead Herself
Everything changed for Clea when she attended Nicole’s Authority Accelerator Masterclass. During the Q&A, Clea shared her background as a messaging strategist and asked for help with her business.
“The way she talked to me about everything was so unlike all the coaches and the programs I had been in before,” Clea recalls. “When I told her I was an emotional Manifestor, she was like, ‘Well, I can’t tell a Manifestor what to do. This has to come from you.’ And that made me so uncomfortable—in the best way.”
This moment gave Clea the permission she needed to start thinking for herself, to build a business by her own standards rather than seeking external validation. It was exactly what she needed to break free from her people-pleasing patterns.
The Transformation Process
After joining Business By Design, Clea made a critical decision: “I’m just going to make this my job.” Instead of continuing to search for quick-fix solutions, she committed to truly understanding herself through the program.
She dove into the deconditioning library, did her contemplation work, watched all the videos, and explored the business-building components. Rather than trying to force immediate income, she prioritized alignment with her Manifestor energy and emotional authority.
“Within three or four weeks after that decision, I was so booked up and so busy that I was having a hard time prioritizing still getting to the hot seat calls every week because I had so much work,” Clea shares.
The most profound shift happened in her sales conversations. Where once she projected what she described as “weird, funky vibes” from desperation, she began approaching potential clients with authentic confidence: “This is what I’m doing. This is what I care about and what I can help you with. Does this work for you? If so, great. Let’s work together. If not, okay.”

Beyond Business: Embracing Her Emotional Authority
For Clea, understanding her emotional authority has been particularly transformative. “I think I was really repressing, just staying in this emotional space and not paying attention to the lows or even the high highs,” she reflects.
Learning to work with her emotional wave rather than trying to suppress it has allowed her to become more authentic in all areas of her life. “It calms me down to know that there’s a collective energy that could be a reason behind what I’m feeling… being able to put it in that context and that framework has been really soothing to me.”
The Power of Community
As a 4/6 profile, connection is vital for Clea, and the BBD community has provided invaluable support. “It’s amazing to have a team of women who are also working through this and have their own experiences that you can kind of cross-reference,” she explains.
This community aspect helps counter the self-doubt that can arise when studying complex systems like Human Design alone. “You kind of gaslight yourself a little bit sometimes and you’re like, ‘Am I like this? Am I really feeling this?'” Clea shares. “But to see other people going through that and to see them figure it out and then to feel yourself figure it out… it’s really cool.”
The Result: Becoming Unshakeable
The combined effect of understanding her design, breaking free from people-pleasing patterns, and gaining confidence in her worth has transformed Clea’s business and life.
“I don’t worry anymore that I’m not going to have work. And I don’t take things that aren’t aligned for me anymore just because they show up,” she states. “In making that decision to prioritize myself and giving myself that permission, I have been consistently clearing the weeds and creating space for projects and clients that are way more aligned for me.”
While Clea acknowledges she’s not “a totally different person” since starting the program—”It’s life work,” she notes—the shift has been dramatic. She’s become unshakeable, able to stand in her worth and create a business that honors her design rather than fighting against it.
For Clea Hernandez, the transformation from struggling solopreneur to confident agency owner wasn’t about learning more marketing tactics or business strategies. It was about permission—permission to be herself, to trust her instincts, and to build a business that works with her Manifestor energy rather than against it.
