Hello, and welcome to Unshakeable with Human Design, everybody. I’m your host, Nicole Laino, and we are here alone today, just the two of us, talking about attracting clients with human design. And I’m going to debunk some myths here. I’m going to talk about the elements of the chart that relate to client attraction.

But I’m also going to talk about the bigger picture here because the key to understanding the intricacies is to understand the big picture of what we are talking about. And how this all works. And how this beautiful modality and system of human design can be woven into your business without necessarily taking everything quite so literally, which is where I often see people get stuck the most, is this literal translation of the elements of their chart and trying to shoehorn them into their niche, into their message, into their offers.

I have this, so I should go create that. It’s not quite that literal and you might go do something and maybe it doesn’t work, or it doesn’t work the way that you think it will.

What often happens is when people go and create an offer, because they hear that, I have a defined G center and I’m a Cross of the Sphinx. So I’m supposed to help people find direction. So I’m going to create a program around finding your direction and around identity because it’s in my chart.

And that’s what’s going to make me rich, famous, and adored. And so I’m going to put it out there and they go and they put out that program. And that’s great if that is your specialty, if that is what you do, if you have a true calling to build that thing, wonderful.

You probably see that do very well. Or if it doesn’t do well, you will be so connected to that program, you will be so lit up by it, you will be so jazzed by it, you will be so in tune with it that you’re just like, oh my god, this is what I’m meant to do. That you will not be deterred if it doesn’t work.

That you’ll be like, you know what, I learned from that, I’m gonna tailor it, I’m gonna twist it, I’m gonna fix it, I’m gonna tweak it, and then we’re gonna launch it again, or we’re gonna do it again. You have staying power with it rather than feeling like, I took these pieces from my human design and I made an offer and I made this about it and I started speaking to this person and it didn’t work.

So I guess human design doesn’t work. Or I guess I got to look at my chart again and I have to start trying to figure that out again. And then I’m going to create something else using these three gates and this center and my profile, and then I’m going to see how that works. Usually that just leads to a lot of frustration, kind of chaos.

It doesn’t lead to you feeling good. And if you’re not feeling good, then you’re out of alignment. And that is way more important than anything else in human design, is that you feel good. Generators, you gotta feel good. Projectors, you gotta feel like you are putting out your light and not bitterness, and frustration, and confusion. Cause that’s what this tends to lead to. When we look at human design purely from an informational purpose, give me the information, information, information, and I’m a one line, I love me some information. I live on information. Information is how I get through life, but it is not everything.

It is not everything. And when you treat human design, like the information is everything. You often don’t get even half of what you could be getting out of it. All the things that you are seeking are there. They are just not down the very strategic linear path that people think it should be down, that they’re walking down.

Cause they want it to come fast. I know the thing. Now I’ve got to go do the thing. If you want to do that as experimenting, wonderful. But you have to be aware and you have to know you’re in an experiment to do it. Scientific experiments are set up. They have control groups.

They’re actively observing the process the entire time so they have findings at the end of it. Just trying stuff and not observing is not really being a scientist with this. You’re not really experimenting in a meaningful way. You got to be paying attention. You have to be aware that you’re in an experiment and you have to set up some sort of parameters so you can start to see what’s working and what’s not.

How can I learn from this? So in this episode, what I want to break down is client attraction from human design. Now client attraction in human design, I look at I think differently than a lot of people. I have been trained in the business of human design. I have one lined my way through human design thoroughly.

And I continue to. I’ve been certified in human design for business with teams, really being able to look at this from a different perspective than just the personal process. So I’ve been around the block with this, and I don’t know many people who have, I’m not going to say that there are plenty of them, but many of the people that I see out there talking about this don’t have that background.

I’m also a Gene Keys guide, which gives me another layer of information, but also another perspective on this. And Here’s what often happens with trying to attract your ideal client or your soulmate client through human design is, we look for a meaning, we say, the people that I help are going to be this type of person. Or we’re trying to figure out how this particular gate, how does that become an ideal client?

How do you make the gate of control an ideal client? You have to go a little bit deeper than just understanding what the gate means. You have to look at it a little bit differently. And it’s a much more holistic view that is needed. Because we’re talking about attracting.

It’s not just about the words. It’s about what you’re putting out there that people feel like you can help them. So I’ll give you an example from my life. The old way that we used to attract clients, and this is what I used to teach, was very much demographics based. Age, marital status, do they have kids?

Do they have step kids? Do they live on the coast or in middle America? Who’s your demographic? And then we got into psychographics and we took this a little bit deeper, which was like the values, the desires, their interests. That’s where you start getting into, what’s your favorite Netflix series?

And do they prefer athleisure wear or are they a jeans and t shirt girl? I fall into the jeans and t shirt category there. These are great for connection, because me knowing that my ideal client from a demographic perspective, just the people that I tend to understand the most, and this is really what we’re getting to, people I understand the most tend to be over 35.

And that gives me some frames of reference of things that they might be into. I can post things about the 90s and I can have that resonate with the people that I’m connecting with. If I put up something about Gen X or early millennials, I might get a response because that’s the people that I’m around.

Those are the people that I’m talking to. Those are the people that I’m connecting with. That is a demographic of my niche. So that stuff’s important. I don’t want to make it sound like that stuff doesn’t matter. But we’ve all heard that saying, when you try to be everything to everyone, you become nothing to anyone.

That’s been out there forever in marketing. And now that everybody knows this other stuff, and when we’re talking about energetic businesses, if you’ve been called to this, and if you are a healer, a transformational coach where you deal in mindset, or some sort of transformation or healing, then this is really going to apply to you times ten.

Because you’re not going to have those testimonials and that social proof of like, I made a million dollars after following Nicole’s three step formula of how to do this thing on Instagram. You don’t sell a reels course where you can just talk about how you got more views selling people Instagram tips.

It’s a different sale. That’s a different person. That’s a different way of connecting. There’s a new way that we’re being called to do business now. Which is on a deeper level. That we have to connect with people on a deeper level. And this is where human design can come in.

Because that other way can be superficial. Whether they apply to the person that you’re talking to now who’s going to buy your program or not, that’s another story. But when you have that social proof, when you say people made lots and lots of money doing what I teach.

And you have all of these testimonials, and you make it sound like it’s a one, two, three step approach. Just post a bunch of reels. I’m going to show you how. And you’re going to make this money too. That’s a different approach. They can get away with having a bit more of a superficial marketing strategy.

But when you are in this other space of transformation, when you are selling a different result that is less tangible, you do have to be a little bit more specific because that other stuff, it’s not really hitting people on a deeper level. You’re not selling something superficial. So to try to market in a superficial way is probably not going to work for you.

And that’s what I hear over and over from people who are trying to work with us. They go to human design and they say, show me how I can connect with my soulmate client, because that’s obviously what I need.

And this is where the break happens, where we’re trying to weave this cosmic design of who we are, this cosmic blueprint with our branding, with our messaging, with our offers. And this is what I do. That’s what we’re gonna go into here, is talking about how we blend these two things together.

But let’s talk about the energetics of connecting with your soulmate client. Human design, the benefit of it is that you’re learning to become magnetic by transforming yourself. This is the headline here. Human design is the greatest transformational tool out there. This is why. Through following your human design, through actually working with it, you start to figure out and deepen your connection to the people you are here to help, the way that you help.

Because when we talk about the wisdom that we are here to share, when we talk about being able to sell from certain areas, there’s always this caveat of, you’ve got to heal that first and have that in a high expression in order to be able to sell it. Or what happens is, you start selling something because you’re like, I’m supposed to sell to people with control issues because I have this element in gate 21, which is the gate of control.

So I’m looking for people who have issues with control, and I’m gonna sell them that and that’s gonna be my message. But if you are not in a great standing with control yourself, first of all, what do you have to offer those people? If you are in the shadow of it, what ends up happening is you end up attracting people in deep shadow who maybe are not ready to do that work, or you can’t hold them and you can’t see them through that transformation.

So what happens? You attract these people. Maybe they are the right people. You’re not ready to serve them. And if you’re not ready to serve them, what happens? Not really tuned in to what you’re selling and they’re not catching what you’re throwing down.

Or maybe they do. You get some people to say yes. But the transformation isn’t really there. And then you lose your confidence. You don’t have the testimonials. It doesn’t feel right. Something always feels off and you aren’t able to sell it again. So then you start doubting all of this other stuff and now you start looking to the chart again.

I see this all the time. Now you’re looking at the chart again. That wasn’t it because it didn’t work. And my question is always, tell me your relationship with that specific piece that you’re trying to sell from.

Human design shows you the story of your life, the plot line. It shows you the characters that you’re going to meet along the way. And when you can see that as a journey, you can start to understand how that journey will unfold a little bit. You could start to recognize and ask better questions of yourself.

How have I always been around this theme? Because if I’ve been around that theme, and I’ve learned, and I’ve really done my work around it, I’m going to have something to offer. And I think what happens with people where they try to make this very linear. They want to know how the movie ends.

And it reminds me of the movie Boogie Nights. If you guys remember that movie, I remember being at home. This is when you still flip through channels. I’m flipping through channels and I was like, oh, Boogie Nights. I’ve wanted to see that movie. I hadn’t seen it yet. And it was the very last scene in the movie, which if anyone has seen Boogie Nights, you know how bizarre it would be to see only the ending scene to that movie.

If you haven’t, go watch it, but it didn’t make sense to me. I didn’t understand anything about that movie. In fact, I was just confused more. Because I saw the end and I was like, I don’t know what just happened here. I was in shock. Right? That can happen when we try to fast forward to the end of the movie thinking that it will give us satisfaction.

Tell me what it is, give me the information so I can go use it. But you didn’t see how it played out in the whole movie. Now, this does not mean that you need to live out your whole life before you understand it. You just have to look at your chart through the lens of this has been my life, and this is the trajectory of my life.

Your incarnation cross tells you the theme of your life. Your nodes tell you that storyline that you’re on. When we start to approach this from a more holistic standpoint of saying, this is the journey I’ve been on. I can see what I’ve overcome. I could see what I still need to overcome.

And this is how I help. This is what happened to me. I understand my chart very, very differently right now than I did two years ago, three years ago, even a year ago. I understand my chart and I understand my place in this world so much more deeply. Where, when someone comes to me with a problem, I know now. I know why you’re here.

I know why, because I’ve worked through that issue. I have worked through this thing. I see you, and I see how I can help you. Which makes it so easy for me to talk to that person. Which makes them feel, on a very deep level, I think you can help me. I think you can help me transform my business, my message, myself, because they are all interlinked.

If you think that your business is something separate from you and you are a personal brand and you sell transformation, then I’m here to tell you that you are wrong. It is not separate from you. You are completely interwoven into this entire thing. So the confidence that comes from just being able to understand this journey that you’re on is priceless, but it also has strategic benefit.

I know the value that I offer. And I know who I offer it to, and I know the lesson that is inherent in every single person that comes my way. I know what their wake up call is.

Why? I know what mine had to be. I looked around and I said, I’ve been surrounded by these people forever. I’ve seen this theme come up since I was a child. And I know that because I’ve seen the journey of my design. I’ve seen my chart and I said, I get from cradle to grave what this is probably going to look like.

And the stages that I go through. And now I can start to see how I might be able to help these people. Or how I’ve been helping them forever. And I know my place in it and I know the role that I’m here to play. As a 5/1 I’m here to play a very specific role. My incarnation cross gives me a very specific zone of genius, which we are talking about in the following episode to this.

So please stand by for that. We’re going to talk about zone of genius and certainly join the masterclass. If you’re interested in learning all of these aspects about how human design illuminates who you really are. And if you’re here to usher people into something new for themselves. If you are here to provide transformation for people or you provide a service for people, you have to understand yourself.

And the bonus is there’s no greater gift in this world than being authentically who you are. That’s what people are the most drawn to. When you’re not trying to be something else, when you’re not trying to sell them anything. I don’t really try to sell. I mean, I sell, I sell. I’m not afraid to sell. But I’m not desperately trying to attract clients.

I send out a signal of, this is who I am, this is what I do, this is what I have to offer, and if you need those things, and if you are attracted to this energy that I have, and this message that I have, then here’s what I can offer you. And people self select, and they decide to join me.

I don’t necessarily talk about who my niche is all the time, but it’s spiritual entrepreneurs. It’s people who are either on a spiritual path themselves or who teach it. Energy healers. That is part of my design. Why I’m naturally drawn to those people and why I’ve always been around them since the time I was small.

You know something about the people who are in your hometown. Whether you get them or not, you know something about them, right? This is your home town. Your chart tells you who those hometown people are for you.

And it gives you guidelines and some understanding of what your journey with those people looks like. So again, I can tell you that the storyline is in your nodes, but until you understand how the entire picture comes together, you’re looking at that last frame in the movie and trying to understand the entire thing, and that’s why people get stuck a lot.

And I don’t want that for you. I want you to understand your whole journey. And I want you to see that it’s not the information, it’s what the information does when you start to become aware of it, when you start to experiment with it yourself, when you start to see it at work, when you start to ask better questions of yourself.

Really specific questions about the things in your chart, not just questions that are so open ended and broad they don’t really resonate for you or don’t lead you anywhere fast. Human design starts to unlock these doors within yourself and have all of these aha moments about how you might help because they are so specific to you, you can get to those answers quickly.

How have I always been around this type of person? What do I know about them? What have I seen about them? How would I help them? How do I already help them? You start asking those kinds of questions. Rather than looking out in the world and saying, who could my niche be? These people I think can pay.

I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to go after corporate people because corporate can pay because they get a paycheck. So I’m going to go after them. You’re going to need more than that. Or it’s going to come off really surface, really superficial, and it’s not going to connect with anyone. You’re not really going to feel terribly embodied in that.

When you feel embodied in your message, I don’t want to say that it doesn’t matter what people say, but I trust that the people that are right for me, they find me. They do. Why? Cause I know who I am. I know what I offer and I know how I help. And if you fit into that category and you need what I sell, then I trust that we’re going to find our way to each other.

That’s how it works. I put out my message. I do my job of showing up. I do my job of putting out a really clear message about that. But I don’t chase, I don’t look around trying to figure out who my niche should be or anything like that. I know who they are, and I know the essence of who they are.

And then that starts to lead to the specifics of where can I find them, what could I say to connect with them, and all of those strategic elements that we can get so stuck in. So, I hope that this helped shed some light on that process of attracting clients, that it is this holistic process of you sending out a signal to those people and that signal does not come from a mental process of understanding a specific thing about your chart.

It comes from you exploring these areas of yourself and then suddenly you start to see what you have to offer those people. You become the solution. It’s not the information, now I know it, now I can go tell them that this is the solution. By you understanding these aspects of your human design chart, you can go into them deeper.

You can start exploring them in yourself. You transform them in yourself and then you become that solution. And then it’s effortless and then it’s fun. And then the offers just start popping up and you’re like, oh, I could create this. Why? Cause it’s coming from a place of real alignment. That’s what alignment is. Doing what feels absolutely right.

Not checking all the boxes that you’re doing all the right things and meditating and doing breath work and now I’m aligned. Those things help to keep you out of fight or flight, to keep you out of your mind so you’re not making decisions that are out of fear and lack. Those are alignment tools, but alignment comes from within you.

Alignment comes from understanding yourself and leading from that place. So I hope this helped. I hope that this was succinct enough that you were catching the point.
