Episode 275
Welcome to Unshakeable with Human Design, the show dedicated to helping entrepreneurs use human design to shift from hustle to flow without sacrificing results. Come here to become an unshakeable human and build an unshakeable business according to your human design. I’m your host, Nicole
Laino.
Hello and welcome to Unshakeable with Human Design, everybody. I’m your host, Nicole Laino, and we are here with another installment of our Centers series. So we are going through all nine centers of the body graph, and we are dedicating an episode to each one in a series over the course of nine weeks.
So every Wednesday, you will hear a Centers series episode until we are done with all of the centers. This is number five of the nine. We have already covered the root center, the sacral center, the solar plexus, and the spleen. If you haven’t listened to those, please go back and listen to them and you can get this whole little mini course that we’re giving you here on the centers.
I like putting them in succession. We did a profile line series a few months ago and the response was so tremendous to it, people got so much value from it that we wanted to do another series and when we asked the listeners what series you wanted to be next, it was a resounding yes for the centers. that was definitely the one that everybody wanted to hear from next, so we are delivering it to you Here is the center series, and we are on number five.
So, today we are going into, it’s very hard to say what is the most important center, but this one definitely is at the top of the list of most important centers. We’re going to talk about the G Center today. Honestly, this could be an hour’s long episode just talking about this center.
I promise you, don’t worry. It’s not going to be that. I try to keep these episodes short, but if you are looking to go deeper into this, if you’re really into these centers, episodes that we’re doing, and you want to go deep dive into this and understanding how it works for you, your chart, how all of the centers and all of the elements of your chart work together.
You’re going to want to get in on our Unshakeable Human program that we are running. We have a waitlist that is running for it. DM me the words embody waitlist on Instagram. I’m @NicoleLainoOfficial. DM me those words, we will get you onto that waitlist, or you can go to nicolelaino.com/embody-waitlist and you can enter into the waitlist right there. The waitlist is not a normal waitlist, if you join the waitlist and you join within the waitlist period that we give you we’re giving you 50 percent off. It’s pretty crazy.
Also the first person to purchase, we are going to give 100 percent refund to. So if you know that this is for you and you want to buy right away, be there when the doors open, be that first person and you just may get the program for free.
It’s going to be a six week program, we’re going to do this accelerated style, there’s going to be live sessions with me and Q& As, so it’s a really in depth little journey that we’re going on, on becoming an unshakeable human, according to your human design, getting you to be completely authentically you.
And start working through your deconditioning process, what that could look like for you. And getting you ready to build a business by human design. Because you cannot build a business by human design without doing the unshakeable human part. There’s not the unshakeable business until you have the unshakeable human. This is that first step and we’re going to take you through the whole thing. Super excited about that. Get on the wait list if you would like to get 50 percent off and join us in that program.
So, without further ado, let’s talk about the G center. Every center has a theme. That’s what we’re talking about. There are nine centers in the body graph and they represent different energetic themes that we either have consistent access to, which would mean it’s defined, or we have inconsistent access to, which means it is a theme that we are receptive to, we are open to, it’s a theme that comes on and off for us.
We’re not meant to be it all the time, but the things that are defined, we are meant to master. And there are things to be in alignment with, and to get comfortable with, to bring into our high expression because it’s consistent for us and we want to be consistently good, not consistently low frequency, right?
So it tells us what our lessons are. Now, the G Center is the center of identity, love, direction, and purpose. Those are the themes that are associated with the G Center. It’s very unique. The centers have different themes, but they also have like little families.
So there are two pressure centers. There are four motor centers. There are three awareness centers. There is the manifestation center, which is the throat, and then there’s the G center, which stands all on its own. And the G center is the center that is the home of the magnetic monopole.
The Human design centers are similar to the Hindu chakra system. So if you’re familiar with chakras, like you’ve taken a yoga class, you’re pretty familiar with chakras, I’m sure. And there’s so much chakra stuff out there. If you do sound baths and things like that, they’re tuned to the different chakras.
But with human design, we don’t have seven chakras, which the Hindu chakra system has seven centers. In human design, we look at it as nine energy centers and the G center would be associated with what is the heart chakra in the chakra system. Now in human design, we split the heart chakra into two centers.
We split it into the G center and into the Ego/Heart/Will center. That is all one center with three names. We will discuss that in another episode, but today we’re talking about the G center. As we split apart the ego and the G Center into two separate pieces, the way that I think about that, it’s not a textbook definition at all, but just something that has helped me to understand the difference between these two is that the G center is more like the feminine side of the heart. And the ego has more of the masculine side of the heart. So one says purpose, love, direction, and the other says, put your heart into it. Commit, drive, take care of those who are close to you. Integrity, that’s the heart center.
That’s the ego center. There’s another side to our heart as humans. And this is the other energy, which is a little bit more open and enveloping and more feminine in that side of receptivity of love and putting out love as well. So identity, love, direction, and purpose. It is also the home of what we call the magnetic monopole.
I tend to think of visualizations or ways of seeing these things through analogies. If you’re in my programs, you know I’m constantly giving analogies, but one of the analogies that I have for the magnetic monopole.
So again, G center sits where your heart is right at the center of your chest. And if you think about the magnetic monopole, sits at the heart of the center, and it is pulling, it’s a magnet that only attracts. So it’s pulling everything to you that is in alignment with your purpose and direction and identity in this life.
All the love that you are meant to pull in, the types of love, the types of people, the types of experiences, the opportunities, all of those things that will help you on your path of living out your purpose, are being drawn to you through this magnetic monopole. And whether you are pulling lessons to you, if you’re pulling things that feel like they are not necessarily what you want, but they are helping you to course correct. Ultimately the magnetic monopole when it’s in a low expression or when we’re in a low expression of our design we’re going to pull more lessons to us. The magnet is going to start attracting things that are going to help you get back onto the path of your purpose. So that feeling like everything is working out in my favor, that everything is happening for me, not to me. This is kind of where that concept comes from, or where it you might think of it differently now that you know about this magnet that only attracts.
We’re always attracting what we need. Sometimes we need a lesson to get us to make a turn that we have not made through other paths on our own. So life pulls lessons to us. Life is this magnet. So the analogy that I always have is that the monopole, it’s like if you had a life manager that was out there making things happen for you, pulling things to you and saying, you know what she needs?
She needs this over here. She needs this person in her life. You know what she needs? This type of opportunity. And it goes out and it brings it to you. It cannot make you take the next step. It doesn’t drive action. It gives you things to respond to, or brings things into your life.
What you do from there is your choice. And if you’re following your strategy and authority, you’re taking those steps, and you’re seeing those lessons, and you’re seeing those opportunities and you’re capitalizing on them. They are somehow serving you in some way. So that’s my weird analogy, is that there is this little person in there that is pulling strings and that is making phone calls and that is directing things in your life and saying, you know what you need over here?
You know what they need over here? You know what you need over here? Now if you have it defined, you’re going to have that all the time. When you have it undefined, your manager may be lots of different people, may be lots of different things. It doesn’t necessarily sit inside of you, it’s going to be all the things that you have interaction with.
So, that’s going to bring us into the difference between a defined G Center and an undefined G Center, and how this might play. So, first of all, the G Center is made up of eight gates. And the eight gates all are gates of love, and then there are gates of direction and identity.
And like every center, the gates are sub themes of the overall theme of the center. These are more specific themes, so sub categories. So we have a big category of love, direction, and identity. And then each of the gates represents some sort of specific love, identity, role, sense of direction, where are we looking, what direction are we going in?
All of the gates have some connection to that, whether they are a love gate or they are a directional gate. And we’re not going to get into the specifics of those, that’s definitely on the deeper level that we will be covering in the program. But from a high level, just knowing that, if you have gates identified, if you have gates defined in your G Center, Then they either have to do with some form of love, some theme around love, love of the body, love of the spirit, different types of love or different types of direction or identity themes.
All centers are about trusting something. They are all about building trust in some way with this theme. We’re building trust in our version of that theme. What it means for us. So the G Center, what we’re building trust in is trust in purpose, love, and direction.
Now if you have a defined G, then you’re going to be trusting that I know where I’m going, even when I don’t know where I’m going. I trust that I’m loved, and I’m lovable. I trust that maybe I don’t need other people to love me in order to feel totally and completely lovable. I don’t need to see it. I have it inside of me.
Now we all do. It’s just going to be a consistent theme for those of you who have it defined. For those of you who have it undefined, we’re building trust that I don’t need to know where I’m going. I don’t need to know who loves me. I’m loved everywhere I go. Because I get to slip into all of these different places and become that place.
The Undefined G Center people, y’all are chameleons. You are meant to assimilate for a time, at least. And I don’t mean assimilate in a diminished way. I mean that you are a reflection of the environment that you’re in. So when you go to a party, you become that party. And you always fit in everywhere you go because you become some version of the thing that you’re a part of. It’s a wonderful, beautiful quality that these people have. As long as you’re not feeling like you need to be like everybody else and then having a crisis of identity because you don’t know who you are.
So, one of them obviously sounds easier, doesn’t it? I know who I am, I know where I’m going, I trust where I’m going, I trust that I’m lovable. Versus, I don’t need to know, I get to be whoever I want to be, wherever I go, but don’t get too confused and don’t get too wrapped up in who I have to be. Because the truth is that people with an undefined G may never have a really strong sense of self.
And the thing is that they’re not really meant to. Now, again, that’s not meant to sound defeating. It can be a tremendous strength, but it can sound defeating because we’re taught to think that it’s virtuous or a good thing to know where we’re going, to know who we are.
There are so many people out there who have undefined G Centers, who have very strong personalities, and absolutely have a sense of self. They allow that sense of self to change. They are not attached to it. And that’s the big difference. And, I have a defined G center. And I’ve always thought that the people that I know with undefined G’s and the people that I witness out in the world that are in the public sphere that I see with undefined G centers, there is this superpower when they are in alignment with who they are naturally, which is the rest of their design, which is who they are in general, not from this one place of this one center of identity.
When they allow themselves to release themselves from having to be anything. They get to be everything. And that’s pretty freaking powerful to me. It also seems really fun. So that undefined G, there’s strengths in both of them. It’s just like everything else with design, it’s all about knowing how to work with your authenticity.
I can’t go places and pretend to be anything that I’m not. Cause I am something. I do have a strong sense of my own identity, of who I am and what role I’m here to play. What type of love I’ve got lots of to give, and where I’m meant to receive all of that stuff. And I do have a sense of direction and it’s for me to trust different parts of my identity, and trust who I am, and trust to be that wherever I go.
Someone with an undefined G has to trust that they’re just picking up the pieces of the identities that they enjoy becoming. They’re picking them up along the way, and they’re allowing that to inform how they want to be. And they get to be everything all the time. It’s a less linear path for those people.
They have to trust that that magnetic monopole is going to pull them lots of places. That it’s not going to be probably as direct a path. But it definitely does get to be more stable if they’re following strategy and authority. And I think this is the big distinction here. Let me wrap this up with this.
All openness is a strength if you’re not operating from it. So if you’re an open G, and you’re obsessed with needing to know who you are, where you’re going, and finding people to love you, then you will be pulled off your course, and that will become a tremendous conditioning force in your life.
Because you won’t be paying attention to what’s truthful for you. You won’t be paying attention to what is strong for you and defined for you and is authentic to who you are. You won’t be following your strategy and authority ’cause you’re so obsessed with figuring out where you should be, who you should be around, who you should be in life, where you going and other people are telling you that they know for you and you’re listening to them because you just wanna know so bad.
You feel like you need help so badly. That the minute someone comes into your life, they’re deeply influencing you and you’re just being swept along that path of where people tell you to go because you’re so desperate to know. Because it feels so disorienting and so destabilizing to be moved by the wind a little bit.
But you are meant to float on a breeze. And you are meant to fall into different situations with different people. And that will guide you. It’s a different way that you are being led and you have to trust that. And I think that can be a little bit harder for people to trust in because it’s not what we’re taught. Majority rules, right? We’re taught that it should be this way. You decide where you’re going and you get there. What’s your purpose? Go after it. Map out the course. Tell me who you want to be. What do you want to be when you grow up?
That was a horrible question to ask people with undefined G’s. Who are you going to be? Decide your identity. Now change your identity. The changing part’s probably easy. The deciding part, not so easy for those people. Defined G? You have a different game. You are going to probably have a sense of where you’re going and who you are.
But the trick for you is going to be being able to up level that. And really be able to be aspirational in your quest for a bigger identity, for a bigger purpose, to really expand yourself. That can sometimes be the challenge. There’s a challenge with every single thing in the chart. And when we listen to personal development and we read books that are on general themes, then we get a general theme that sounds really good, that makes a lot of sense, but then when we implement it, it can sometimes do harm rather than good.
We’re like, okay, I get this, but it doesn’t really work for me, and I don’t know why. And then we can have shame and all sorts of other things that get attached to that because something worked for so many people and it didn’t work for us. That’s why design is so powerful, because we get to see what’s meant to work for us.
And we get to take in all that general information and filter it through our design and say whether this will work for us or if we need to approach it differently. Can I take that same concept and apply it slightly differently because I’m like this? That’s what makes this so powerful. But you do have to understand how your design works.
You have to be able to have that understanding so that you can discern what is correct for you and what isn’t. So you can take in information and not just go action it blindly because someone told you to, and instead come back to your truth, your inner authority, and maybe adapt things where you’re like, there’s something in this for me.
I just think I need to approach it differently. I do that all the time. I look at things and I have some things come in and I’m like, I don’t think that’ll work for me that way, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t work for me. I’m going to try it this way because I’m built like this. That’s power. That’s unshakeable.
