Hello and welcome to Unshakeable with Human Design everybody. I’m your host, Nicole Laino, and today I want to bring one of those episodes that is kind of what we’re known for here, which is bringing human design and business together and showing you how you do that, specifically around something that I call your cosmic niche.
Now, when I talk to, I talk to a lot of entrepreneurs. I talk to people who are interested in my programs. I have friends, of course, who are entrepreneurs. Most of my friends are entrepreneurs. Uh, I speak with people in my programs and all around. And when I talk to them and I ask them about how their business is going, what they’re, what’s working, what’s not.
And a lot of people have told me, especially after 2024, I know that, you A lot of people felt like that was a tough year, that they aren’t where they would like to be. I hear that a lot. You know, I feel like I should be further. And when I ask them what they think will solve their problem, what will help their business, because most of them say, I need to make more revenue.
I need to make more money. There’s not enough money coming in. There’s not enough coming in consistently. And when I ask them what they think will fix that problem, 95 percent of people will tell me, well, I need to find my ideal client. I just need to find my ideal client. I have to figure out how to talk to my ideal client.
And that is both true and, not true.
I agree that that is a huge part of probably what’s not working in their business because that’s why the content that they’re writing, because they are showing up on Instagram, they’re putting content out there. A lot of people have podcasts. And the podcast isn’t making money, so they’re creating all of this stuff, but the result isn’t there.
They’re not actually converting that into cash, into their business. It’s not even looking like cash. It’s not even looking like conversations that lead to cash. It’s just more and more content out. So yes, I agree that knowing your ideal client, Helps with that, but the way most people go about it is wrong.
And I’m going to break that down in this episode because I’m going to talk to you about how you find your cosmic niche. And this is something that transformed my business. It’s transformed the businesses of the people that I’ve worked with. I’ve countless clients who like the light bulb goes off when they realize how their life.
And their innate nature and their gifts and this particular element of the human design chart, how they fit together, when they fit together, it just, it all starts to make sense. And what it helps you do is become so specific about your message because that’s really the problem. And I’m going to break down kind of just like the way that I view this whole thing in this episode, I’m going to take you through what the Cosmic Niche is and why traditional niche marketing methods don’t work and why this works so well, before I get started.

So, let’s talk about, this idea of finding your ideal client and where a lot of entrepreneurs come from. Because I want to take you through like the process that most people are going through.
What most people go through is they say, I just need to find my ideal client. So then what do they do? They do some market research, although they don’t usually do it correctly. They do market research but nobody likes doing market research. So usually this is one of those things that it does need to be done.
Um, but they’re out there and they’re talking to their people or they’re looking at Instagram and they’re seeing what people are asking. They’re doing that type of market research. They take another content writing program. They fill out a bunch of worksheets about what people want and the problem that they solve for those people.
You take another stab at that, I help statement. You know, go to jazz up their IG bio and, you know, try to attract clients that way because they tell you, Oh, that’s how you get found on Instagram. But what happens is they do all that work and then they still end up with a vague kind of soulless message and something that does not reflect the transformative work that they do.
They end up with an I help statement like I help entrepreneurs with burnout. And then they jazz it up by saying, I help overworked entrepreneurs because they’ve been told, Oh, if you say overworked, then that means that they’re working and if they’re working, then they’re making money and you’re not talking to broke people.
All of this is true. You still want to do that. But do you see how I help overworked entrepreneurs with burnout? Through somatic healing, through trauma therapy, through EFT, through whatever your methodology and your, modality is, it still feels like, yeah, yeah, yeah, like you and everybody else. And why does that work?
Why do some people get away with that? With having something that doesn’t feel earth shatteringly, because this is the other problem we get into. Okay, but I don’t know how to make it sexier. I don’t know how to jazz this up where it makes me sound like, to come up with a statement that reflects what I do.
I don’t know how to do that. And then you read some other people’s who are very successful and they have something that you’re like, yeah, that works, but I don’t see why it’s so much better than mine. You know, you read somebody else’s where it kind of says the same thing, but it’s And it doesn’t feel all that fancy, but they’re making it work.
The problem with these methods, and I’ll tell you why it works for some people and why it doesn’t work for others, is those people who it works for have a connection to that statement that they’re making. They believe it wholeheartedly. Think about your I help statement. Think about the way that you present your business.
Think about when somebody asks you what you do, how you respond. I see this with people all the time. They like shrink and they’re like, cause they’re trying to find it. And they’re like, I don’t know what I do. And I don’t even care if you, you don’t need to say it perfectly. That is not the bar that I’m setting because I don’t say it perfectly every time.
But the one thing that I do know is it’s in my bones what I do. And even if it doesn’t come out properly or perfectly, you feel what I do. I’m the I help statement. My conviction in it is. I help entrepreneurs raise their level of strategy and energy through human design to step in to be unshakable CEOs.
Truly, where they’re making repeatable sales in their business and they are an authority in their space. Now I say that a hundred different ways. I have said that a million different ways. But the thing is, like, you get it from me. You go like, okay, get that. Or you say, interested in hearing more. And that’s really what you want.
You want people leaning in and saying, I want to hear more. And there is an art to that. So what’s the difference? How do you get to that statement? How do you get to that level of conviction and belief where you are
the niche statement, you are a reflection of everything that you do. Hi. You need to be part of this process because the problem with the methods that I just talked about, about the worksheets and the market research and, you know, trying to come up with your, I help statement, filling in the mad lib form.
I help blank with blank by blank without blank. You know, you’re filling those things out. The problem with those and those methods, and I’m not saying , that they are not needed, but the fact that that’s all you need is wrong. Because that’s how you end up with something that is bland, vague, and just, like, you look at it and you’re like, it doesn’t, that’s not it.
That’s not it. and, but you still do need something that conveys how you help people. All of that stuff is valid, but you need it to have you in there. The problem with these methods, you are not part of that process at all. It’s all about the other people. It’s all about the problem they have. the benefits that they want.
Who they are. Where they shop. How old she is. How many kids do they have. All of that stuff is them. It’s so outward facing. So how do we fix that? We put you in the process. And the way that we do that, because this is the secret sauce, is something I call reverse niching. You’re still going to do all of that work.
You’re still going to be paying attention to what people want. But you are going to put you first and we do that with human design. There is a specific aspect of the human design chart that tells you who your cosmic niche is, how you relate to them, and what your role is with this. Okay? This is a very nuanced aspect of human design.
It is not necessarily just knowing the gate. It’s the nodes. I’ll tell you what piece it is, but being able to interpret what those nodes mean and how it relates to your niche, to your business, to your life, to your story. That is a whole other thing, which is why I can’t go through it on a podcast, which is why I’m teaching a program on this, just this aspect.

They are eight elements in the Human Design Chart that help you build, activate your genius, and build a brand on your authority.
Innate genius in your gifts, the things that you were born to be in this world. And we teach you how to tune them up inside my business by design program. And we teach you how to shine your light and how to use that in your business. Well, the nodes, this cosmic niche piece is a huge part of that authority matrix.
This is one of those elements that we teach. So it’s a whole unit inside my program. I will be teaching just this piece to you if you are interested on January 22nd, we will be teaching this, I will be teaching this masterclass, it’s really an intensive workshop where, because you will be working, you will be doing worksheets, you will walk away knowing that who your cosmic niche is, how you relate to them, you will have all of that information and hopefully you will be able to integrate it while we’re on there.
I’m only saying hopefully because sometimes it, it’s about what you produce here. You know, what answers do you put on the page? Because it’s not just about what’s in the chart, it’s about how you and your experience relate to the chart. And that becomes your, like a huge foundational piece to your brand.
It becomes a huge foundational piece to your content and your messaging. And this is one of those things. That just really starts to lock things in for people where people are like, Oh my God, I understand now that I help people in corporate, I help executives and I help them this way, but this is what they’ve gone through.
And I know that because it’s part of my world too. Like something that blows the doors off for people. So I highly recommend you jump into this. If you have any of these problems, if you feel like you are, your message is not landing with the right people, if you feel like you’re putting out lots of content but there’s not a real connection that it’s making with your audience, if people aren’t reaching out to you and you’re converting into clients.
