Hello and welcome to Unshakeable with Human Design, everybody. I’m your host, Nicole Laino. And it’s just you and I today. We’re going to have a little chat about beliefs, shifts in mindset shifts in the way that we approach business. I have my top three mindset energetic shifts that. These are the ones that I come back to over and over again. We have been doing calls where we had opened doors to business by design. We’re taking applications. I’m talking with a lot of people. I had a conversation with my husband about this. 


This comes up in business by design, with the clients that we have. It all comes back to these three things and these. If you live by these three tenants and you deepen your connection with them and you start to live by these, I don’t want to call them rules, but schools of thought. These are growth ways of thinking. Three of the most powerful ways of thinking that I believe you have to have. If you are an entrepreneur, if you are looking to grow in this life, if you are looking to go from good to great in your life, if you are looking to uplevel your life, your business, your life, your bank account, all of the things, these three things are not an option. They are essential. 


And the faster you learn how to get into the energy of these, the faster you will actually see that growth. Okay, so I’m super excited about this. The top three mindset shifts, energetic shifts. I think they’re more of an energy shift because it’s a way of thinking. 


But if you’re not really following it in your energy and in your action, then they’re just words. They’re just thoughts like everything else is. But it starts With a thought. It starts with being able to catch yourself in the opposite of this thought. To catch yourself in the gunk, to catch yourself in the low vibration and to shift. Okay, and this could apply. I talk about it in the context of business, but I think it can apply in our relationships. It can apply in all aspects of our lives. Because this is an energetic conversation that we’re having. We’re always having an energetic conversation with everything in our lives. We are speaking with our energy and we’re either coming in high frequency or we’re coming in low frequency. 


Low frequency us gets low frequency results, gets low frequency relationships, gets fighting and gets bickering and gets this and you get stuck in it and you feel like you’re having the same conversation over and over again or the same argument over and over again. These three shifts will shift you from that pattern. Okay, so let’s dive into the first one. The first one is, you know, we can’t predict life. We try to, you know, we put our best foot forward, we plan, we do the work, we show up. But sometimes things don’t work out the way that we had planned. They don’t work out in the way that we wanted. We set a goal and sometimes we hit it, and sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we set a goal and we don’t even come close to it. And we wonder why. 


And it’s so easy to get stuck in a space of it didn’t work, oh my God, it didn’t work. And then we start looking at the outside world and we start saying like, well, what can I do to change this? Or oh my God. Or we get stuck in this feeling of it didn’t work and we stay there. The quicker you can shift out of disappointment, anger, frustration, you know, all of our not self themes in Human Design, all of those. And Human Design can really help you navigate all of this. That’s why I feel it’s a universal tool. Having, you know, Human Design as a shift of following your own alignment. I think on this show sort of goes without saying it doesn’t need to be on the list. But I’ll add it as a little caveat there. 


Human Design is on the list. It’s on every list. Because I believe that it is the most powerful tool and framework to understand yourself. And when you understand yourself so deeply and you start to follow your design and ask great questions of yourself based on your design, not based on the outside world and the results that you got or the questions that you or the criticism that you’re getting from people. If you start asking questions about your own design, then you start to find the answers that are right for you. I talked with someone who’s thinking about joining Business by Design actually this week, and were talking about her journey and were talking about her business and were talking about what she’s building and she’s a three line. 


And I’m asking her questions and I’m talking to her about, you know, she’s afraid of making a move because things haven’t worked before. Because things haven’t, you know, she’s like, oh, I, I’ve done that and you know, it hasn’t paid off. And I’m like, it hasn’t paid off yet. You haven’t really been doing this that long. You’re still learning. I always say that, like sometimes we can. And again, this is a mindset shift. This is the way that we look at things determines the way that we interpret our results, interpret where we are and interpret our possibility of success. So if you are in it’s not working energy, then you’re probably going to get it’s not working results. In fact, you’re probably going to quit or you’re not going to invest when it feels right. You’re not going to trust yourself. 


And if you don’t trust yourself, you’re not making the moves in alignment with a big future. You’re making moves in alignment with the fact that you did something in the past and it didn’t work. That’s the shift you have to make. So for her, she’s a three line. And I’m like, you really have to get over that. You have to get over the fact that things haven’t worked in the past because they’re not meant to work in the past. Everything isn’t meant to work for you. You learn so much from the failures, from the things that. And sometimes things run their course. They don’t work forever. And threes have to get over the thought that they will work forever. And in contrast, I have another former client who came to me. She’s thinking about rejoining business by design because she’s building something new. 


And I’m always flattered when clients come back. And she’s a three line as well. And she’s super resourceful because she doesn’t let the fact that things have not looked perfect in her past stop her. She’s amazingly resilient and resourceful. Like she has that, like, I can handle anything because so much has gone awry in my past. Like I’m so used to it. So instead of looking at it as evidence that nothing works out, she looks at it as evidence that she can handle anything. That’s three line magic. Okay, so I just went off on a tangent. I just wanted to kind of like, kind of wrap this whole thing in. Human Design goes without saying that learning to navigate your design is essential because it builds trust in you and your process. 


That client, she kind of always intuitively knew that she was meant to be resourceful, that she was meant to be resilient, that things were going to be different for her, that she was going to be kind of like a bit of a rock star with this stuff. She was going to be a bit rebellious. It wasn’t going to look like everybody else’s stuff did. And that serves her because it’s in alignment for her. I didn’t have to teach her that, but I did reinforce it and I did give her confirmation of that and encourage it and push her to lean in even more in those ways. And it’s had amazing effects and results for her. 


So let’s dive into these three shifts that I think every entrepreneur needs to have in order to have, you know, in order to go from good to great, in order to up level their life and their business in a big way. The first one is shifting from this thing happened to me to this thing happened for me. Everything is happening for me. Everything is happening for me. Another way to look at this one is, you know, everything is rigged in my favor. There’s nothing that’s happening. There’s nothing that happened today, yesterday, the day before. That didn’t happen for a purpose. It happened for a purpose to guide you to the next thing. Now, whether you picked up what the universe was throwing down or not, that’s open to interpretation. 


So if you look at it like everything is happening to you, that’s where you get victim consciousness. That’s where you feel like the world is against you. So now you are in the energy of things aren’t working. So now you aren’t taking leaps, you aren’t doing the work. You maybe are finding that you, like, do a little bit of work and then you have to take a big gap because it took a lot of energy, because you’re in the energy of what the hell am I doing this for? Things don’t work for me. Investments don’t pay off, people don’t buy. My last launch was shit, so why should I show up for another one? When you’re in the energy of that, you get that and when you’re in the energy of everything is happening. For me, it’s all rigged in my favor. 


This failed launch was a gift. This client leaving was a gift. This other unfortunate thing, a gift. If you get into the energy and into the frame of mind of looking at things that way, you see opportunities everywhere. You see opportunities everywhere. And that’s where you don’t have to take weeks off when something bad happens because you’re not looking at it like that. You’re not feeding the energy of failure. You’re not feeding the energy of it’s not working. You’re not in alignment with that. You’re in alignment with, okay, how can I look at this as an opportunity? How can I look at this as something that is helping me get what I ultimately want? If you can get into this mindset, you are unstoppable. If you can’t, then you’re stoppable. And you’re probably seeing that. So take a pulse. 


Do you look at things like they’re happening to you, or do you look at them like they’re happening for you? Oh, the relationship fell apart. Well, is this serving you in some way? Can you look at it that way? I know it can be painful. I know it can really hurt. I’m not saying that it’s comfortable to live like this, but it’s a very different energy of looking at it through a victim consciousness. Victim consciousness gets. You get a lot of shit. Life’s going to be hard because you believe life is hard. When you are a victim of circumstance. You feel like you have no control. You feel like you are struggling all the time. Nobody gets you. And you see it everywhere. It’s the lens that you look at the world through. So you see struggle even where there isn’t any. 


You’re anticipating it. And when you’re anticipating it, what we anticipate, we get. What we anticipate, we’re attracting. And we wonder why it’s not working right. People do a lot of things. They show up, they do the work. But if they’re in the energy of it never works. That’s what they get. And this is a key shift that you have to make. Okay, so the second shift is, am I in the energy of what I want, or am I in the energy of what I don’t want? Am I in the energy of nothing is working or am I in the energy of. I either get the result that I want or the lesson that I need? I am here for it. I am connecting with and calling in the thing that I want. And I’m getting into the energy of I get to have it. 


Am I focusing on how there are no clients coming in, or am I focusing on how good it will feel if I got one right now? These are exercises. I’m not saying that this stuff is easy. This is stuff that. This is why we have mentors, because they can remind us of these principles, and they can see when we are in it. They can see our blind spots. They can let us know that you’re in this. You’re in a funk. It’s happening to you, not happening for you. Could you look at it from this perspective? Could you see how you’re showing up here? Could you see how maybe you are in the energy of what you don’t want right now? You’re in your fear, and if you’re in your fear, you get more of it. So how can we shift from that? 


Could you maybe look at it from this perspective? That’s powerful. These are powerful shifts. And I’m not saying that this is something that if you have bills coming in and you know, they were unexpected. I’m not saying that’s fun. We all have scarcity thoughts. At every level, there are scarcity thoughts. Why do you think billionaires want more? Because there’s. Well, there’s definitely a power grab there, but there’s also. There’s this sense of, like, their scarcity is. They want more because they’re hoarding to a certain degree. They don’t need more. There’s something going on in their minds, too, where they’re stockpiling and they’re grabbing because they’re wondering if they’re running out of time. They’re wondering if tomorrow will be different. But they get good at not feeding that. That’s the game. Can we have a scarcity thought and not stay in it? 


Can we have a scarcity thought and not entertain it and give more energy to it? Okay, now the third one. This is one of my favorites, because this will tell you all you need to know about everything. My world mirrors me. The outside world mirrors my inner world. If I’m getting a result in the outside world, I could look at it and I could say, well, why did I get this? These all are very connected. They’re all very much. These are different ways of thinking about kind of the same things. This one, there’s a bit of more nuance to it, and I’ll explain it some more. My world mirrors me. 


So if I get a reaction, if I get a bunch of clients saying, no, Then I could blame them and be like, why do I have all these people that are just not getting it? Or I could look at it and I could say, where is their uncertainty in my own energy? Where am I not really welcoming them in? I could look at my sales process. I could look at my sales call process. I could look at it and say, well, did I really ask the right questions? And I’m not a pushy salesperson, so I don’t have this, like, terribly strict sales call process. I ask questions, I help people get clarity. I help them see the value in the program. I help them see what we can do for them. The decision’s up to them, though. 


I don’t like to push people or feel like I’m manipulating people in that process. But sometimes I can notice that maybe I’m leaning back a little bit in my own energy, and I’m not leaning in and I’m not really welcoming them in. I’m not really sending out that vibe. So if they say no, I look at myself and I say, is there something strategic that I need to change here? Did I not ask the right questions? Did I not provide the right information? Or is there something energetically here that maybe I wasn’t in? Yes. Energy. I wasn’t in. Welcome you in. I can help you. Energy. I wasn’t in. 


You know, we look at this with, if we’re getting clients who are at this lower level, and we want the higher level clients, we have to ask ourselves, well, who do I have to be a match for that person? Well, I have to deal with anywhere where I’m playing small. If that’s the case. Right. Where am I playing small? Where I’m getting people who are playing small. The universe is communicating to us through our lives. So the other way that I say this one is, triggers are gifts. If you have something that is triggering you, if you have something that is not going well, if you are in a relationship and you are just continually frustrated and mad and snapping at your partner and it’s over nothing, then those are triggers. 


And the kind of 3D version of looking at this would be to be like, oh, well, he’s just a problem. I need to get a new partner. Or maybe I need to, like, I need to end my marriage. And sometimes that is the case. But a lot of other times it’s showing us where we have a wound that hasn’t been healed that we haven’t paid attention to, and it’s getting so bad that it’s festering. It’s pain. Think about it. If you had a wound that you ignored on your physical body and you kept walking around, and then every time you touched your leg, it hurt, and you’re like, oh. And then you ignore it, and then it starts being like, oh, I kind of feel like a radiating pain in my leg kind of all the time. It’s getting worse, right? Why? 


Because you left a wound long enough. You left it too long. Now when you walk, it hurts. Now it’s like, even I can’t even put weight on this foot, on this leg. Every time I do now it’s like burning, and now it’s like stabbing pain. Now it’s unbearable. That’s what happens when we get little triggers, like little things coming through that we can ignore. Now, in my world, we don’t ignore those, because if you can pay attention to them when they’re small, you can get rid of them when they’re small, and then you’re not dealing with them. And that’s how we start to elevate and escalate as human beings, as entrepreneurs. If I can get through shadows and through triggers and deactivate those triggers, that’s what we do with eft. That’s the deconditioning work. 


If I can break those triggers and I can deactivate those, I can make you superhuman. I can make you somebody who goes after what they want and has a clear road ahead. But if you aren’t willing to do that work, what happens is the pain gets more frequent, the pain gets worse. It becomes something you can’t ignore. And now it’s a problem. Now we have more work to do. Now there’s more to dig out because the wound’s infected and that happens. And still the same work. It’s just we’ve got to dig deeper. Now you’re going to have to wear a bandage for a while, and you’re going to have to clean it. And the wound might get infected again. You might have a harder time with it. That’s how this works. 


So if you can live your life with triggers or gifts, and it’s the universe’s way of showing you exactly where you need to clean the wound, this is where you need to heal. It’s right here. It’s around this thing. It’s. It’s around this topic. Look at the trigger. Can you figure out what set you off? I promise you, it wasn’t the fact that he didn’t take out the garbage. That’s not why you lost it. Nobody loses it over somebody not taking out the garbage. It’s a chain of things. And it has to do with the way that it makes you feel. If you can start to look at that. Because what happens is the universe is like, this is the biggest problem you have right now, and it’s holding you back from more than you know. I need you to deal with it. 


You asked for this great thing in your life. You asked for more money. You asked for greater clients. You asked for more success. But I cannot let you have it while you have this wound. This thing ruins it all. So the universe is telling you, here, fix this, and I’ll give you what you want. Heal this. And see, the doors I can open for you, they are right here. But this is the wall that needs to be knocked down. And that’s what the trigger is showing you. Here’s the wall. Now kick it down. And everything you want is on the other side of it. But so many of us are so afraid about what’s on the other side of that wall. We’re so afraid of what happens when we touch that wall that we don’t go for it. 


And this is why entrepreneurs stay stuck. This is why they don’t grow. This is why Human Design becomes something that’s interesting but not terribly useful. This is why they don’t get the benefits that someone like me has gotten from it. Because it isn’t just that I understand my Human Design. It isn’t just that I live by it. It’s those things. But it’s also that I decondition as a daily practice because I recognize that it’s my conditioning. And triggers are just life conditioning. Human Design shows us where we might be most apt for conditioning. So it’s the map showing you to where you have cleanup work to do. 


So deconditioning, if you decondition every day, if you make it part of your practice, if you make it part of, like, my success is equal to the level of the amount that I’m willing to heal and to go into the dark parts of myself, turn on the lights and say, you are welcome here, too. All of us is required for the entrepreneurial journey. It isn’t just part of. It isn’t just the parts of us that we deemed acceptable or that were told were acceptable when were kids. We have to look at all of this, and this is what I mean. So an example, open ego. Have this with a lot of people. You know, they have an idea that they should make lots of money from what they do. And when they’re not making lots of Money, they feel not successful. That’s conditioning. 


That’s not what’s supposed to make you feel successful. And they’re like, oh, but my success, Like, I feel super successful when I’m coaching people and I’m talking with them, I’m like, you have to let that be enough right now. What’s the wound that’s making you feel like this has to be this way? You’re saying it actually feels great the other way, and it’s working. It’s your obsession with the idea that you have to make money that’s probably keeping you from making money. If you’re a projector and success is your signature, you don’t question success. I get it that you might want more of it. But if you’re falling into the open ego trap that says I should be making more money, I should be supporting people financially, I should be doing this, then that’s exactly the thing that will keep you from getting that. 


Instead, you follow the success and then the money comes. It can’t be the come from. That’s a trigger. That is a warning. That is a trap. Human Design shows you where your traps are and you get better at not falling in them. All right, I’m going to leave this one here. I hope you enjoyed this. I hope that this inspired you to take some aligned action, to see things differently, to maybe see where you are falling into one of these traps.
