Hello, and welcome to Unshakeable With Human Design, everybody. I’m your host, Nicole Lano. And today I wanna bring up something that has been, it came up in my world and it came up with a few of our clients recently, and that’s always my signal that I should share it here on the show. And it’s something that I’m very careful to talk about because I think that there has been some toxic language around this particular topic in the past.

So I have been hesitant to ever share anything about this stuff. Or to do it as directly as I’m about to do it, but I think my relationship to it has changed and we’re gonna talk about it differently than some of the ways that I have seen it shared in the past. Okay. So before we get started, I do wanna call out that we are in the middle of the Authority Accelerator Masterclass.

Okay, now let’s start with this. So what we’re talking about, this topic that I wanna talk about is about proximity and it’s about being in the energy of the thing that you want, and we can think about that as a very personal process, which it is.

There is also energetic element to the spaces that you choose to put yourself in and the people that you choose to surround yourself with. I am part of a beautiful text group with some of my business friends, and we all support each other there. We lift each other up. And we are all like at the same level ish, so we’re calling each other up.

We’re all chasing and, or I should say, I don’t like the word chase, but we are on the same journey where we are striving for the same things. We have similar ambitions. That’s really important. And my own reflection on this is an example that I have is that I joined a program recently, you know, in the last six months and, well, I guess at the end of last year.

And when I joined that program, I nearly doubled my revenue. I started to make consistently what I was doing here and there, and. I wanna be really clear about this. It wasn’t that this program taught me a whole bunch of brand new things and I implemented all of them and I’m doing all the things. No, there’s actually quite a bit in that program that I’ve known already.

There’s some things, a lot of it that I had implemented already. There are also some things that I knew. I wanted to do, but had sat on them for a long time and I wasn’t taking action on them. So I didn’t make the decision to join that program purely based on what will I learn in here, part of it, but it was also, is this the energy that I want to be part of my world?

Is this gonna hold me the way that I want it to? Is this going to call me up? And what ended up happening was it absolutely did. I implemented some of, a lot of the things actually that I was kinda sitting on. It got me, it lit a fire under me. It really got me motivated to do more, being part of their, they have a Facebook group that’s the community that they’ve chosen.

Being part of the Facebook group and hearing people, sharing what they’re doing, learning through osmosis from those other people, just being around them, hearing their experiences. It’s like, Ooh, I’m gonna try that. I didn’t think of it that way. Because people are on the same page because they’re going through the same things.

I rose faster. I rose to the energy of that room very, very quickly. So what I wanna talk today about is how strategy matters. It does. It absolutely does. It is important that that group was teaching me things. Largely, honestly, a lot of that is because the context of that room is very much the same.

People are working largely on the same things. Even though we all have very different businesses, there is a core, the sameness or commonality between the things that we’re doing. So we’re talking about similar strategies, although there are people in there sharing things that I haven’t tried yet. Or there are things that they’re doing and I’m like, I’m not gonna implement that.

And that’s okay. But hearing what people go through and hearing how they’re coached and how we support each other, the strategy matters. But the energy I. Activates it. It’s the energy that gets us into motion, and we can be really obsessed with strategy. You know, we’re all chasing those tactics, particularly at the beginning.

We chase the content, calendars, the perfect offer, the systems, the things that we think will get us what we want. Or we obsessively heal, we can fall into that obsessively healing ourselves. I have to fix this. I just have to unblock this. I just have to work on my money mindset. And we do. We need to work on that stuff.

But the missing piece in here is energetic calibration. So part of what can be difficult with healing programs is sometimes people have a whole lot of healing to do, and it’s not necessarily lifting you up when you’re in that group. It really depends on what the vibe is. So it has to be something that is calling everybody up.

The problem with strategy is we’re leaving out that energetic component. We’re just looking for more things, but we’re not really activating that within ourselves. So that’s where we buy programs and we don’t action them. We don’t actually do the thing. I’ve done that a lot. In fact, the program that I bought, I paid five figures to be in this program.

You know, tens of thousands of dollars to be in this program, and I have bought cheaper lower ticket offers from them before. And done nothing with them. Never really used them. I was just not activated into it. Same information, very different result for me. Now, I’m implementing all of that stuff because I’m in this mix with everybody else.

That’s what energetic calibration is, and when I say that, I’m careful with the way that I talk about this. There was a big thing for a while, definitely a few years ago, where people were selling proximity. Proximity is power, proximity. Is all you need. It’s not all you need it. Very rarely, whenever someone says this is all you need, it’s very rarely that, but it’s so much easier to sell somebody one thing than tell them, oh, it’s gonna be this kind of.

Little basket of three or four things that you need, and we’re gonna teach you how to use them all. It starts to get complicated. It starts to feel more complex. People don’t feel as like, oh my God, it’s so easy. This might be work for me. And they may be more hesitant to buy. Personally, I prefer people who buy what I’m selling and feel really good about it when they get in there and they’re ready to do the work that’s in front of them.

Not bait and switch them with what’s really in front of them now, proximity. What is true is that humans generally learn better, faster, and almost unconsciously through modeling who we’re around, what we are exposed to influences our behavior often more than what we are taught. I love this saying, I heard this from Dan Martel.

He said that you’re talking about raising children. He’s like, it’s what’s caught not taught. It’s what they see and they model not what you consciously are teaching them that matters most. I thought that was so powerful. So modeling matters, and we’ve all heard that saying you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with.

Look around. Besides your family that you live with, who are you spending the most time with? Who are you choosing to be in your circle? This is where proximity matters. This is why people sell masterminds. It’s about proximity, because you’re all supposed to be helping each other and you’re all lifting each other up.

The problem is, is that a lot of those masterminds, people think it’s. The only answer, and they haven’t built the foundation, the strategic foundation in their business, and they haven’t built really the brand and the message around what they do before they join a mastermind. So they get in there and that’s not something that pays off.

They’re not really ready for those connections when you join a high level mastermind. So one of my clients came into the business by design a few months ago, and she shared this in our group. Which I thought really illustrated this point, and especially when we’re talking about human design, we are talking about an energetic system, and this is what happens when you start to align with your design.

Now, I will say that this particular client has a business built, she has strategy in place. She’s looking to, she’s a projector and she’s looking to, uh, systematize a little bit more. To take some things off her plate. She felt like something was off. She’s not operating as a projector. So she came in here being like, I know I need adjustments, and I know I need adjustments strategically and energetically, so that’s why I’m coming here.

She shared in our group, which I thought was just so powerful and so like on the nose for what we’re talking about. She said, ever since joining the program, my energy’s been different. I feel grounded and certain this I hear over and over again. I had a call with another client the other day. It was like her exit call, our last one-on-one, and she said, people are telling me now how grounded I am.

I told her, I was like, you seem really grounded. It’s such a huge change for you. And I say this with everybody ’cause that’s what deconditioning does. It grounds you. It pulls you back in your body. Suddenly you’re not out here, you know, out in the ether looking for answers everywhere. You’re like, no, I’m here in my body.

I’m centered, I’m grounded. That’s power. But she said, people tell me all the time how grounded I feel, and that they feel safe. Sharing with me. And that’s what happens when we’re aligned. People come to us, they get pulled into us and they feel safe staying because you actually have the ability to hold space for them.

And that is something I hear time and time again. And this client, she said, she’s like, that’s not feedback I’ve gotten before, but people keep telling me that now. So I know something has shifted and that’s what’s so powerful. But this other client, when she joined, she was like, I feel in my authentic self.

Instead of in needy energy. And she was like, she was saying that her consultation, she went from usually booking like two to three consults a month to having six booked in two weeks. So that was huge for her. She was like, that doesn’t happen when I’m not launching. That’s what energetic calibration is.

She entered the container and immediately her energy started to shift. Now, obviously when you have strategy in place, things can move a whole lot faster ’cause she had channels built for people to come to her. She had a program to put people in. So I wanna be really clear again about full disclosure. If you come in with no offer, if you join something and you have no offer, you haven’t really nailed down your message, you don’t really have an audience, then you might start attracting people quickly.

But it might not be that instant thing, but you might feel instantly grounded. In fact, a lot of people do if they can hold themselves through that part of actually building the foundation and the infrastructure that they need to start their business. But this is what’s so powerful. She came into the program and immediately started to see results.

Why? ’cause her energy shifted and she had the strategy built enough and the structure built enough in her business that it, what it does is it’s like you unclogged a pathway if you are standing in the way of getting what you want and the universe bringing you what you want, if you’ve got those channels built.

But they are clogged with your energy and you clear your energy. Suddenly things start flowing very quickly. I have things built. I have a lot going on. I have come a long way. So when I moved into that other container, I opened up my energetic flow to bring more to me quickly because it was built. That’s the beauty of this.

This is why group programs work so well, and I know people get down on group programs. Oh, I don’t work, learn well in groups. I don’t know how to be seen in groups. I don’t feel comfortable in groups. I don’t feel comfortable speaking up. First of all, that’s something for you to work on because growing a business by yourself, hard way, harder than it needs to be.

I don’t recommend it. Make friends, make alliances and connections with people. It will start to make everything feel more possible, lone wolfing. It is a really difficult way to grow this business, and it usually is a total mind fuck for rather, for lack of a better term, because you’re the only one kind of working with yourself.

You feel alone. If you feel uncomfortable in groups, then you probably have something about not feeling like people support you, and this is where the limiting beliefs come in. So when you put yourself in a situation like a group program, you don’t just learn, you calibrate. You are learning and you stop shrinking your vision and you start to grow it to match what other people are doing and what the mentor you chose is holding space for you in, you know, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were friends.

They hung out. They kept each other sharp. They had a friendly rivalry of who was going to be the best, and they made each other better. I’ve heard both groups talk about how because of them on their heels, because of the level that they were playing at, it made them rise. When you’re in a group too, when you’re down, someone else’s up and reminding you of who you are, you borrow belief until it becomes yours.

So I wanted to share that because I think proximity is important. I think it gets distorted, and I wanted to share what that really looks like. So if you’re sitting alone and you’re wondering, how am I going to do it? Get into a room with people who are doing it already and not a room that you go to for one day and then you leave.

Events are wonderful, but sustained connection with people, whoever they may be, choose. Choose who you want to rise to and who you think will nurture you in that journey Best.
